I’m Paula Mastrangelo, a graphic designer and typographer based in The Hague. After more than twenty years in editorial design, brand design and typography, I work independently with a small number of founders, publishers, and private clients. Every project is bespoke and hands-on, from the first conversation to the final file.
Every lasting business starts with someone who truly cares about what they’re building. My job is to discover what makes their idea worth believing in, and to shape it into something uniquely its own. Through strategy, identity, design, and art direction, I help create brands that last.
I work closely with founders and teams at defining moments, from ambitious new ventures to thoughtful reinventions. I ask questions, explore possibilities alongside you, and shape brands that feel as considered as the businesses behind them.
PaulaMastra Studio is run by graphic designer and typographer Paula Mastrangelo. As needed for each project, the studio brings in a trusted network of specialists. Every engagement is hands-on: I lead each project from the first conversation to the final delivery.
My practice sits between editorial rigor and original typography. I trained as a magazine art director and brand designer in Spain, developed as a typographer in Barcelona and Antwerp, and now work independently from The Hague with a small, hand-picked roster of brands, publishers, and private clients.
Every commission is bespoke. I don’t work from templates, and I only take on what I can give real attention to. What you receive is an original, carefully built system, made to be lived with for years rather than refreshed every season.
